Description

The course is split into lower limb on day 1 and upper limb on day 2. This gives the opportunity for lower limb specialists such as podiatrists, foot and ankle surgeons and hip surgeons to attend only the lower limb day and shoulder surgeons and other upper limb specialists to attend only the second day. However, we do advise that delegates attend both days to get more practice guiding the needle and developing their injection skills (even if they may not inject a particular region in their clinical practice).

Please note: If you are only able to attend one day, please email info@ultrasoundtraining.co.uk.

The practical workshops are carried out on soft-preserved full body cadavers, which is the closest match to the real thing! You have full access to perfect your skills on the cadavers over the 2 days. We have lots of machines and you will benefit from close supervision throughout from the faculty.

The course is taught by very experienced practitioners who will deliver the information you need and translate this information into the practical application of carrying out the guided injections. This course is packed with clinical gems, top tips when to inject when not to inject, what to look out for and to avoid with each procedure and how to make the procedures as straight forward for the clinician and as comfortable as possible for the client. We cover the basic procedures including all peri-articular and articular injections and more advanced procedures that are at the cutting edge of MSK and sports medicine. This includes barbotage, hydro-distention, high volume injections and tendon stripping techniques. Following this course, you will be ready to either start carrying out guided injections on your clients or ready to introduce the more advanced techniques into your repertoire.

Who should attend?
This programme attracts MSK Radiologists, GPs with a special interest in MSK/Sports Medicine, Surgeons, Sports Medicine Consultants, Physiotherapists, Radiographers, Podiatrists, Sonographers and Osteopaths.

Course pre-requisites
