Dr Jon Houghton MBBS BSc DipSEM DipMSKUS MRCP FFSEM

Jon is a very experienced Consultant in Sports Medicine and Rheumatology. He has been using and teaching ultrasound in his practice and carrying out guided injections for over 10 years. He has special interests in tendon pain and hip and groin pain. These interests have developed through his work in the military and professional sport. He is currently Chief Medical Officer (CMO) for Wales Football and Surrey County Cricket. His Rheumatology interests include gout and inflammatory spinal and peripheral conditions, particularly in the young and athletic population. He believes ultrasound is an essential tool for any clinicians involved in MSK and Sports Medicine and those carrying out injections.
