Robert C McCririck

Robert is an MSK & Sports Podiatrist with over 10 years of experience at specialist level in the NHS and private practice, both in the UK and Canada. His previous roles include sports podiatrist for The University of Edinburgh’s sports medicine centre (FASIC) and lecturer in Podiatry and Sports Medicine at Queen Margaret University. He also holds an MSc in podiatric surgery from Queen Margaret University and a CASE-accredited PGCert in medical ultrasound from Glasgow Caledonian University.

Robert launched his private clinic, Tweed Podiatry, in early 2018 where his team specialise in lower limb musculoskeletal medicine and diagnostic ultrasound. Robert joined the lecturing team at the Sports Medicine Ultrasound Group (SMUG) in 2023 where he teaches diagnostic ultrasound and ultrasound-guided injections of the foot and ankle.

Robert describes ultrasound as the single most transformative addition to his clinical practice, integrating this into the vast majority of his musculoskeletal consultations both for diagnostic purposes and for ultrasound-guided injections.
